They have found the solution in 23-year-old Leon Belcar, a key player for this season’s surprise team, Varaždin. Belcar has been a standout performer in the Croatian league, impressing with his consistency and ability to control the game from the middle of the park.Belcar began his football journey in the youth ranks of Varaždin, where he showed early potential. At just 12 years old, he briefly joined Dinamo’s youth system for one season, before returning to Varaždin to continue his development. His teenage years were spent growing in the Varaždin setup, and by the time he was 19, he broke into the senior team.
During his time with Varaždin, Belcar made 85 official appearances, contributing significantly with 8 goals and 2 assists. His ability to disrupt opposition attacks, combined with his knack for making key passes and scoring from midfield, made him a vital part of the team’s success in the recent season.
